If there’s only one more Harlem Shake video that you can bear to watch, let it be the Miami Heat’s edition of the viral craze, which has almost two million views since they posted it on YouTube yesterday (February 28).
We have to say that out of all of the Harlem Shake videos, (more than 200,000 results come up when you search “Harlem Shake” on YouTube) these reigning NBA champions have pulled off something special. Or maybe seeing NBA All-Stars dancing around in ridiculous costumes will be entertaining no matter what.
The video starts with Chris “Birdman” Andersen flapping his arms around their locker room while the rest of the team hangs out. After 16 seconds, the guys have traded their red and black athletic gear for more animated attire. LeBron James appears incredibly happy in a king’s crown and cape (sans shirt), Mario Chalmers shakes it in a Super Mario costume and Chris Bosh gets down with a big boom box on his shoulder.
Other costumes/props include: a multi-colored sombrero, a teddy bear head, MC Hammer pants and a clown’s wig. No doubt that the team was having a good time fooling around. Mario tweeted yesterday: “Go check out the Miami heat edition Harlem shake on YouTube. In life u gotta figure out how to have fun and enjoy it. Hope y’all enjoy it.”
Meanwhile, Diddy ain't mad about the new craze. Hear him explain below.
